my first car was a Chrysler fifth ave. basically the same thing but with four doors. blew up the rear end the first month of the first winter doing doughnuts. our dad begrudgingly bought a new gear set from whichever auto parts store was closest to home. which me and my brother promptly detonated a couple months later. dad told us we have to buy the next one. got a gear set at a junkyard for something like $20 and put it in. ever since then it has made a knocking sound whenever you decelerated. but we haven't been able to bust that one. anyway what I'm trying to say in np.
